Brian Stone - Brian began his career as a traffic manager for a billion dollar pharmaceutical company in California called Pharmavite in 1975. He later took a position with a freight forwarding company in Portland Oregon called Coast-Car Loading. From there he moved on as a sales rep for Consolidated Freight Ways where he worked from 1987-1998 being promoted from account manager to sales manager to terminal manager. After much achievement, he decided to further his career and take his shot at becoming an account manager for a third party logistics company. Brian’s true passion has always been sales, so success followed and in 2001 he decided to open up his own third-party logistics company, Strategic Transport Inc. which has flourished to this day.
Hilda Stone - Hilda is the daughter of our founder Brian Stone and has been at the helm of our ship since- 2007, although she has been here since founding in 2001. She is a graduate of Portland State University in Marketing and Public Relations and had also attended OSU for a short time. She and her son Elijah live in Beaverton and are both active in sports, as Elijah plays basketball and soccer and Hilda has been a personal coach in softball specializing in catcher training since her successful college career ended. Hilda also has a love for giving back to the community as she is involved and sits on the board for the non-profit organization, Fastpitch Cares that has given back to establishments such as Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. She is the leader and rock of STI and we all love her for it.
Phil Stone - Vice President, joined into the family business in 2006. Brother to Hilda, he specializes in truckload and specialized LTL. Phil has lived in Oregon his entire life and loves the outdoors particularly anything golf related. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his kids and wife, and playing basketball. Phil truly values his customers and is passionate about the success of Strategic Transport. He is a constant source of inspiration.
Dennis Foster – Director of Sales has served as a logistics manger, followed by 15 years in LTL sales at Canadian Freightways and Conway. A teacher at heart, spent 16 years teaching and also founded several small theatre companies. He has 25 years of experience in theatre as a director, producer, and actor. Dennis has two children whom he is very proud of. His strength as a trustworthy and relational person sets him apart from other salespeople in this industry.
Shimmi Munson - Executive Account Manager. Shimmi specializes in managing LTL accounts. She also does truckload and manages claims. She joined STI in early 2014 from Traeger where she managed residential LTL shipments. Shimmi was born and raised in Oregon and has a wonderful husband and beautiful daughter. She enjoys Starbucks, true crime, and anything peppermint flavored. She is dedicated to our team and truly loves and enjoys her position at STI. The relationships she builds with her customers and carriers are a part of what makes her successful in her position and helps STI thrive.
Angelica Gonzalez - Senior Account Manager. Angel brings over 25 years of customer service experience. Her focus is to provide a superior customer experience. At STI she manages accounts from the scheduling to the delivery of your product. Angel has two grown children and enjoys spending time at the movies or exploring Portland with them. She looks forward to helping you get your product to your customer.
Ethan Flattery - AR/AP - As a dedicated and detail-oriented accounting professional, Ethan has been meeting the accounting needs of Strategic Transport since October 2018. Ethan is a Missouri transplant. He is a big fan of the Portland Trail Blazers and enjoys spending sunny weekends on the Oregon Coast. Ethan is passionate about providing accurate and transparent financial insight and is excited for the future of STI.
Joseph Piroutek - Director of National Accounts, Joseph joined STI from a 5 year stint with ArcBest as Senior Account Manager. Previous to ABF he has a long history of sales and management. Joseph comes from a military background and has lived in many places but now resides with his beautiful wife and four children in Arkansas. He is an avid sports fan and coaches kids' sports. Joseph brings a high level of energy and hustle to our team!
